【摘要】:Inpracticalapplications,customersoftenwriteinformationonthefacesideandbacksideofprintmediausingvariouswritingimplements.Itisdesirablethatthatthewritingimplementswritelegiblyanddonotskiporsmear.Thistestisperformedusingwritingimplementscommonlyusedinthehomeandofficetoensurethatgoodwritingqualityisobtained.Thispracticemaybeusedtodeterminethewriteabilityofavarietyofprintmediaincludinginkjetmedia,electrophotographicmedia,silverhalidemediaandprintingpaper.Sevendifferentwritingimplementsareusedtodeterminewriteability;threetypesofbalpointpens,No.2pencil,washablemarker,marker(regulartip),crayons.Additionalwritingimplementsmaybeusedasappropriate.Note18212;Pensshouldhaveregularpointtips.Ballpointpensfromseveralmanufacturersshouldbeused.Writeabilityisdeterminedvisually.Testresultsareusefulforspecificationacceptancebetweenproduceranduser,forqualitycontrol,andforresearchandproductdevelopment.1.1Thispracticecoversamethodfordeterminingthewriteabilityofprintmedia.1.2Writeabilityisdeterminedbywritingonthefacesideandbacksideofprintmediawithavarietyofwritingimplementsandvisuallyassessingthewritingqualityandthepropensityofthewritingmaterialtosmear.1.3Thispracticecanbeusedtoevaluatethewriteabilityofavarietyofprintmediaincludinginkjetmedia,electrophotographicmedia,silverhalidemediaandprintingpaper.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
